Bowra of SevenoaksI thought you may be interested in a strange message I found in a very nice double fusee mantel clock, In a large wooden ‘steeple’ case.The maker was Bowra of Sevenoaks. On the back of the dial were a number of dates and descriptions of servicing carried out but the weird message I also found, reads as follows. ‘Mr Reynolds just hit a man with his Basket he must be a Fool to let him do it’ I wonder if any other unusual messages have been discovered.
