Single-hammer chime

Has anyone seen or heard of a single-hammer chiming Westminster clock? For some years I have had one such clock in my possession. On it is stamped 'German Patent Pending - British Patent Applied for No 17631/36'.

There does not appear to be any manufacturer's name and no number. This clock does the full quarterly chimes and hour strike and runs for eight days plus.

The intricate movement of the hammer is done with three springs and incorporates two cams on the reverse side to move the hammer to the required position to sound each note.

I would appreciate any information fellow readers can provide.
